Zack Coltrain
Captain, Mate
Born and raised fishing the NC coast with his father and grandfather, it's something that's just in the blood. Whether it's as simple as fly fishing in a local pond, or pulling plugs in one of the local billfish tournaments, fishing is just part of life. Zack has been an industrial mechanic for the past 10 years and has a deep understanding of equipment functions and maintenance so you can be confident that he can handle most any situation that might arise on the water. USCG licensed, first aid, and CPR certified. Zack is married with two girls, ages 5 and 2 who may love to fish even more than he does. If he's not fishing you'll find him working in his shop or planning a camping trip.
Tanner Coltrain
Mate
Tanner, just like his brother Zack, has fished practically since birth. He has an in-depth knowledge of the operation on the back of a boat. With experience tournament fishing, as well as chartering, you can be sure with Tanner running the back end of the boat, if the fish are biting, he can hook them. Tanner has also spent countless hours working on equipment as a mechanic and an operator. He's got the common sense, humor, and southern hospitality to make your trip safe and memorable. Tanner is an active volunteer firefighter at his local station along with being CPR and First Aid certified. Tanner is married with three beautiful kids under age 5 and if he's not fishing or spending family time with them, he can be found doing anything from guiding duck hunts, to catching snapping turtles, to playing the drums.
